Come and join us for the launch of A Cup of the Curious

The exhibition opening event will feature ceramics, sculpture, video art, live music and dance performance. Enjoy delicious food and drinks while chatting to the artists who made it all possible!

Miniature Ceramic Workshop


14 October 2022 - 11:00am to 12:00pm


Bring your creativity and curiosity along to design and decorate your own miniature cup and saucer in clay.


Embroidery Workshop

17 October 2022 - 10:30am to 12:30pm


Design an elegant sheer fabric window hanger for your home using beading and embroidery techniques.

Monte Lupo Ceramic Workshop

16 October 2022 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm

 

Paint your own Cup and Saucer of Curiosity with Monte Lupo Arts at Vacant Assembly.


This is a paid workshop where all levels of experience are welcome, and all materials and equipment for the workshop will be supplied.


Textile Workshop


16 October 2022 - 11:00am to 1:00pm

Get your hands dirty with our botanical dyeing workshop, where you will learn experimental and traditional techniques to create your own piece.

This is a paid workshop. 


Sensory Tour

 18 October 2022 - 12:00pm to 12:30pm


Experience the exhibition from a new perspective as you are blindfolded and guided through a verbal sensory interpretation of the work.


Disability Awareness and Advocacy Forum

18 October 2022 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm

(Lunch will be provided prior from 12:30pm)


Learn about the barriers that people with disability face on daily basis.

This Q&A forum explores how we can enhance opportunities and access for all the artists.

 
Hosting the forum will be Alexandra Ellen, multidisciplinary artist, actor, musician and 2020 Access Arts Achievement Award Winner. Alexandra will be joined by an amazing panel of disability artists who will provide the unique perspectives of those at the forefront.
