What do we need to be ready for the NDIS?
Presented by Community Resource Unit Inc. (CRU)
Workshop Overview
• The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has started in the Queensland launch sites and is rolling out to other places in Queensland between July 2016 and July 2019.
• The NDIS will give people with disability and the people close to them a chance to have a bigger say over their support.
• This one day workshop talks about what we know about the NDIS, and some practical things people with disability and their families can do to get ready for the NDIS.
• We will talk about what it takes for people with disability to have a good life; the role of family and friends; choice and control and what it will mean to take charge of the change ahead.
• This workshop will help you think about where to start and how to stay connected and informed as we move towards the NDIS starting in an area near you.
• The workshops are funded by the Queensland Government so there is no cost to register._x000D_
