Alicia Jones | COCA Program Lead

Alicia is the Program Lead for Multicap’s Centre of Creative Arts, a professional development program for artists, and has worked in the Access sector since 2004.  Alicia currently teaches at Pine Rivers, Eight Mile Plains and Capalaba, hosts private sessions and is tasked with building external opportunities for artists.  Alicia’s creative drive is to provide quality education to artists and grow relationships with their families.

Alicia is a certified trainer with tertiary qualifications in Creative Industries, Early Childhood Education and Business and has had a successful career as an Event Producer across Queensland within Cultural Event Management, Education and Arts sectors. Alicia currently studies a Diploma in Counselling and undertakes research in the rehabilitative impact of performance/installation practice in rewiring neurophysiology and disorganised attachment.

As a professional performing artist, Alicia is a member of award-winning companies Little Dove Theatre Art (Canberra) and Ozfrank Theatre Company (Brisbane). Alicia’s solo work investigates modes and methods of knowledge exchange and the root causes of human dissociation. Alicia’s body of work stems from the exploration into her cultural heritage (Palawa TAS/Australian) and the drive to activate performance/audience response-ability to break cycles of violence and foster social inclusion.

Monica Yfran | Pine Rivers

Monica is a qualified Graphic Designer, Art Therapist and Yoga teacher and leads Multicap’s Pine Rivers COCA - Painting and Ceramics.  Monica has worked extensively in Australia and South America with much of her creative and teaching practices being centred in community projects.

Monica has created and facilitated Art/Yoga Programs for groups and individuals within the education and access sectors since 2014.  As a specialist in trauma-informed approaches, Monica creates environments that allow individuals to access a state of deep calm, awareness and relaxation providing safety that opens different ways of creative expression.

Since 2018, Monica has established and led the Visual Arts, Woodwork, Textiles, Pottery and Mosaic programs.  Monica is a member of the Redcliffe Pottery Club and personally enjoys working in Sculptures.

Monica’s deep interest is in the natural world, a passion that is shared with her students.  “I feel very privileged to be part of their life's and to be able to support and empower the artists to achieve goals and celebrate life in many ways”.

Donna Haslam | Eight Mile Plains

Initially employed to facilitate Creative Movement programs in 2016, Donna increased her knowledge and skills working alongside COCA Facilitators in Ceramics, Painting and Textiles. Donna is now the main COCA Facilitator at Eight Mile Plains teaching four units of study including her passions of Dance and Visual Arts.

Donna holds Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Culture, Diploma in Art Therapy, Diploma in Dance Professional Practice and training in Movement Therapy. Donna has a professional Dance practice, regularly performing at events and festivals.  Donna is also a talented jewelled adornments creator.

Donna strives to assist artists to achieve their creative and personal goals.  Driven with the knowledge that the creative arts develop confidence, self-belief and a sense of achievement, Donna guides her artists with the ethos that art is communication and way of expression.

Dr. Suzie-May Camm | Rockhampton

Suzie leads the COCA program in Rockhampton, a program specialising in Painting and Music.  Suzie’s career as a teacher/tutor allowed her to work across primary and secondary education, then moving into the Access sector in 2018.

Suzie is a highly qualified professional within Arts and Education.  Suzie has a PhD in Music Composition aligning with her professional practice as a musician, a career that has taken her around the world. Suzie is creating string quartets for Enterprise Earth (Washington D.C) and Fairyland (France). Suzie performs with band Rancid Eddie (Melbourne, VIC).

Suzie was awarded Regional Arts Development Funding for the composition of a dedication, a mining accident that occurred at the Mount Morgan mine in 1909. This was completed in 2024 and performed by a string quartet.  Suzie is currently in the process of applying for the next stage of development.

Working at Multicap Suzie feels privileged to work with artists, creating incredible pieces of art, soulful choir sounds and gentle movement through Zumba and dance.

Alex Potter | Pine Rivers

Alex comes from a business background, working in Accounts and Customer service.  When the need came to provide support for a family member, Alex was inspired to pursue a Certificate III in Individual Support.

Alex began working at Multicap in 2020 for a short time, returning in 2022 to work five days a week at the Pine Rivers Hub.  Taking up the role of COCA Creative Movement facilitator in 2023, Alex observed the need for a theatre group and worked with the artists to create their first drama performance, presented at the Christmas Party in December 2023.

In 2024, Alex leads COCA Creative Movement and COCA Theatre.  Alex has been instrumental in building artist engagement and interest in the COCA program through respectful leadership and collaborative action.  Alex is committed to advancing her knowledge and skills as both support worker and facilitator and is dedicated to further her formal education and artistic abilities.

Meggan Daly | Pine Rivers and Aspley OSHC

Meg has been studying dance for 17 years.  Meg studied at the Ultimate Dance Centre learning Fitness and Dance, then moved into Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Lyrical and technique classes.  As a competition dancer, Meg competed at an All-Star Level and has regularly danced in front of hundreds of people.

Meg holds certificates in Fitness and Individual Support and has worked for Multicap since 2022.  In 2023/24 Meg co-facilitated COCA Creative Movement at the Pine Rivers Hub teaching Jazz and bringing fun movements together with great technique.  Meg is now leading the implementation of COCA Creative Movement into youth-based programming at Aspley Outside School Hours Care.
