Multicap bringing Christmas to Eight Mile Plains

The sound of song will fill the air when Music Therapy performers take to the stage at Multicap’s Christmas Carols and Markets this Saturday 2 December.

The group will entertain an audience of hundreds at Eight Mile Plains with renditions of popular Christmas melodies.

Senior Music Therapist Queenie Ngan said the annual community event is a highlight for many involved with Music Therapy.

“The performers are really looking forward to it,” said Queenie.

“They’re excited to share their festive spirit with the audience.”

Music Therapy is research–based practice that supports people in improving their communication skills, emotional regulation and spatial awareness.

It also boosts cognitive and sensory stimulation and allows for creative expression.

While it can be scary, Queenie knows taking to the stage brings a range of benefits.

“The Christmas Carols is a great opportunity for the Music Therapy performers to showcase their skills and progress,” said Queenie.

“It helps to build their confidence and allows them to connect with their families and friends through music.”

For those attending Multicap’s Christmas Carols and Markets the entertainment doesn’t stop there, with a performance from Michael Bublé impersonator, Greg Joseph.

Greg’s vocals will leave the audience feeling merry and bright and his catalogue of festive favourites won’t disappoint.

The event will also feature gourmet food vendors, market stalls and free activities for the whole family.

And don’t worry, Monte Lupo Café and Monte Lupo Arts will be involved in the day, serving food and showcasing unique artworks.

So pack a picnic blanket and come along to Padstow Road for an evening of Christmas fun.

Parking is available via Entry A for a gold coin donation.
