Multicap is pleased to announce the addition of Chelcie Hale to the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) team on the Sunshine Coast.
Chelcie joined Multicap in May of this year and brings over 12 months of experience as a PBS practitioner, following her previous role as a Disability Support Worker.
“I’m thrilled to join Multicap and contribute to such a dedicated team,” Chelcie said. “My experience as a Disability Support Worker has provided a strong foundation to deliver effective, evidence-based behaviour support.”
Chelcie joins a dedicated team that includes three other practitioners; Caitlin, who has a background as a mental health case manager; Lisa, formerly a psychosocial disability support coordinator; and Matthew, a practitioner with a paediatric nursing background.
Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge and diverse experience to the team. “Working alongside such experienced professionals is an incredible opportunity,” Chelcie said. “We are all committed to improving the quality of life for our customers.”
In her role as Senior Practitioner, Chelcie is tasked with delivering high-level, evidence-based behaviour support to individuals with disabilities, their families, and staff.
The team’s responsibilities include applying proactive, evidence-based approaches to behaviour support, aiming to reduce or eliminate restrictive practices and improve the quality of life for people with disability.
Chelcie will also supervise the Sunshine Coast team, supporting their clinical development and helping them succeed in their roles, contributing to Multicap’s growing presence on the Sunshine Coast.
“I’m passionate about supporting my team and helping them grow in their roles,” she said.
The team has significantly expanded their services over the past 12 months and are eager to continue to support more people and reduce the impact of challenging behaviours on the organisation.
“We’ve seen tremendous growth and I’m excited about the future.”
